Arsenal player ratings vs Bournemouth: Declan Rice sublime as William Saliba oozes class

Arsenal went four points clear at the top of the Premier League table by beating Bournemouth 3-0.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring just before half-time after converting a penalty that Kai Havertz had won.

The Gunners were deservedly ahead after dominating much of the game and they wrapped up the win in the second half.

Leandro Trossard finished well inside the box and Declan Rice added a third to ensure Arsenal stay top of the Premier League and ahead of Manchester City.

Simon Collings was at the Emirates Stadium to rate the Arsenal players...

David Raya 5

Made a good save early in the second half. A relieved man when Bournemouth had a goal ruled out after it was judged that Dominic Solanke had fouled him.

Ben White 6

Got into some promising positions early on as he overlapped Saka. Worked hard to keep Justin Kluivert quiet after the break.

William Saliba 8

Despite Arsenal’s domination, he was forced to make a number of vital tackles. A brilliant performance. Oozed class and composure.

Gabriel 6

Had a few shaky moments early on and looked nervy. Scored an outrageous half-volley, but it was ruled out for offside.

Takehiro Tomiyasu 7

Three starts in a row and he should keep his place until the end of the season. Such a reliable and solid performer.

Martin Odegaard 8

Played some majestic passes, especially early on, and Bournemouth could not cope with him. Deserved more for his efforts.

Thomas Partey 7

Started for the third game in a row and it appears his injury troubles are behind him. Made a number of big blocks and tackles.

Declan Rice 9 | Star player

What a performance. So much energy. Set up Arsenal’s second and scored their third.

Bukayo Saka 7

Opened the scoring with a coolly taken penalty. Hit 20 goals in a season for the first time in his career.

Kai Havertz 8

Won the penalty for Arsenal’s opening goal. Had a decent game overall, holding the ball up well and bringing others into play.

Leandro Trossard 7

Took his goal really well with a great first-time finish into the bottom corner. Justifiably keeping Gabriel Martinelli out of the team right now.
