Baizhu and Kaveh finally revealed as new playable Genshin Impact characters for version 3.6

Someone finally let Baizhu out of the HoYoverse vault!

Genshin Impact surprised fans on Friday (24 Feb) by revealing Baizhu and Kaveh as the next set of playable characters coming to the game, after having been in the Genshinverse for a while (or an eternity, in the case of Baizhu).

The duo are expected to arrive with Genshin Impact version 3.6 in early April, so here's everything we know about them so far!

Baizhu

We met Baizhu early on in our travels throughout Liyue. He is the kindly doctor of Bubu Pharmacy, owner to talking snake Changsheng, and the guardian to our favourite undead Qiqi.

He is the doctor of Liyue Harbour, and his medicine has been famed to work instantly, albeit with its signature bitter aftertaste.

However, hidden behind his gentle care is a pain that not even his medicine can cure, as Baizhu is struggling with poor health that he cannot remedy with his numerous concoctions and medical expertise.

It is no wonder that Baizhu handles matters concerning life or death, as he too is precariously balanced in between.

Baizhu will have a Dendro Vision, though his weapon type is yet to be revealed.

Kaveh

Kaveh is a celebrated architect from Sumeru and is known as the Light of Kshahrewar.

However, people close to him know him as quite the talent, but lacking in sensibility.

Alhaitham, Kaveh's roommate, has noted that he is easily scammed out of his money. No wonder a single project had rendered him destitute and bankrupt!

But of course, dealings with the Lord Sangameh Bay may lead to financial ruin for those who aren't savvy with business.

That said, maybe we can think of it as a quirk that makes Kaveh lovable... even if Alhaitham thinks otherwise.

Kaveh will also have a Dendro Vision and adds to Genshin Impact's growing roster of flower power, though like Baizhu, his weapon type is yet to be announced.

Genshin Impact is currently in version 3.4, which will last until 28 February.

Coming up next will be Genshin Impact version 3.5, which will be released on 1 March, where the Eremite Dehya will make her debut on the limited banner before rotating to standard.
