Bernice Liu denies rumours of secret marriage
3 Aug – Hong Kong-based actress Bernice Liu recently took to social media to deny rumours of a supposed secret marriage.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who previously confirmed her relationship with businessman Calvin Lo, recently found herself being linked to winery owner Charles Cazes, when sources claimed that the two have tied the knot four years ago.
They alleged that due to the instability of the marriage, Bernice decided to use Calvin to make Charles jealous, and that the latter had since flown to Vancouver to try and save his marriage with the actress.
Following the reports, Bernice, who rarely responded to rumours about her personal life, took to Instagram to clarify herself.
In a post published recently she wrote, "[...] seeing the news lately, I feel it's time I said a few words. First of all, I am not married and have never been married. Currently, I spend a good deal of my time alone."
She also admitted to have ended her latest romance, saying, "Relationships are difficult, I tried my best but as relationships are about two people, I was unable to make things work due to differences in expectations in a relationship. Hence, I have chosen my own adventures. We have had many great memories and will always remain close friends. I thank him for his care and support."
"Thank you to all my fans, friends, management, and family for being by my side and loving me unconditionally. I trust and believe in God's plan for me," she added.
