Blake Lively Drew Shoes Onto Her Bare Feet In An Instagram Photo And People Have Questions

From ELLE

Blake Lively uploaded a photo with her spouse Ryan Reynolds to Instagram on Thursday and there were a lot of the classic Blake-Ryan social media trademarks going on.

There was the gentle trolling - with Lively ladening her caption about Canadian native Reynolds' first time voting in the US with innuendos - and also a subtle social justice/political imperative in there too, with the couple encouraging voters to exercise their democratic right and vote early.

All seemed pretty normal. Until... fans noticed that something was up with Lively's feet.

When the same photo was shared to Reynolds's account, Lively was not wearing any shoes. She was barefoot and standing on her tippy toes.

But when the Gossip Girl star shared the photo, she was wearing some heels - Louboutins in particular, evident by the slight glimpse of red sole on show.

However, on closer inspection - and with Reynolds' confirmation, given him posting the barefoot - it became clear that Lively had drawn the shoes on.

Why? We're not entirely sure. Is she self-conscious about her feet? Has she been practising her art skills during lockdown? Or did she just want to edit and spice up her Instagram post in a unique way, instead of just relying on the Mayfair filter.

'Look at her feet she's drawn on the heels lmaooo i love blake so much [sic],' one eagle-eyed fan noticed.

'DID YOU DRAW YOUR HEELS AND INCLUDE A RED BOTTOM 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I LOVE YOU,' said another. 'Why's no one talking about the heels being drawn 😂,' another asked.

People also took the matter to Twitter too:

Never too afraid to poke fun at herself, Lively soon responded to these urgent questions. First off, she tagged the Christian Louboutin Instagram account in the post, then she shared the picture to her Instagram Stories joking that she 'doesn't see the issue' with a GIF of Vogue US editor Anna Wintour.

She then embellished further upon her designs, this time transforming the heeled sandals into some suede boots, asking the Louboutin brand directly if they were currently hiring for a designer.
