UAAP seniors finals game 2 moved to Saturday

The UAAP Board has decided to postpone Game 2 of the UAAP men's basketball championship series to Saturday, October 1, 3pm at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Almost two hours after the day kicked off with Game 2 of the women's finals, UAAP President Ricky Palou informed reporters that the second clash between three-time defending champion and host Ateneo de Manila University and Far Eastern University has been canceled as typhoon "Pedring" continued to batter Northern Luzon including Metro Manila.

The Blue Eagles lead the best-of-three affair, 1-0, after manhandling the Tamaraws, 79-62 last Saturday.

Strong winds and heavy rain pounded Metro Manila even as Adamson University was going for the kill against FEU in their own women's hoops finals.

The awarding ceremonies have also been moved to Saturday while Game 2 of the juniors' basketball championship will be played at 11:30 am.

Palou did not give details of Game 3 (if it is necessary) due to booking issues with the Big Dome.
