Liverpool’s new manager Klopp goes car shopping
His arrival at Liverpool was met with much excitement, and it’s no wonder that Jurgen Klopp has been in best spirits ever since he was announced as the club’s new manager.
As if to celebrate his appointment, the candid Klopp – dubbed the ‘Normal One’ – has been seen parading a new set of wheels since he joined the club.
The 48-year-old former Borussia Dortmund manager was spotted in an Audi on Monday, as well as a Porsche on Tuesday.
And he certainly had a lot to smile about as he gave a thumbs up before entering the car right after his first week at the club’s iconic Melwood training ground.
Klopp, who was picked up in a Mercedes upon arrival in Liverpool, also appears to be settling into the club with ease.
He is said to be looking for a place to stay near Brendan Rodgers’ former luxury £1.2million ($2.56 million) apartment in the Sefton Park area.
Klopp’s first game after taking over Liverpool manager saw his team drawing Tottenham 0-0 on Sunday.
The German has promised fans that the Reds will play a very fast, and very strong game under his leadership. “My teams must play at full throttle and take it to the limit every single game,” he said at his press conference last week.
Mesut Ozil celebrates 27th birthday
Meanwhile, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil marked his 27th birthday by thanking his legion of fans on social media.
The German international, who helped guide the reigning world champions into Euro 2016 qualification this week, capped his birthday on 15 Oct by blowing out candles on a custom cake.
Ozil posted a picture of his celebration on Instagram with the caption: “One year older yet again! Thank you all so much for your birthday messages! Here’s to another great year…#bestfansworldwide #thankyou #happyMesut #birthday.
