Angel admits gaining weight, apologizes to fans
'Imortal' star Angel Locsin has been consistently topping the country's list of sexiest women.
But there have been observations that the 2010 FHM Sexiest Pinay had gained weight. Without batting an eyelash, Angel admitted it straight away: she indeed packed a few pounds but she's working out to achieve her desired weight.
"Tanggap ko naman 'yon, e. Pero bigyan niyo naman ako ng chance na magbawas [ng timbang]. Medyo malaki na 'yong bawas ko kasi may workout," Angel told entertainment reporters after the 'Imortal' press conference on Wednesday, February 2.
Angel however thinks that plus size women are still beautiful.
"Ibig sabihin po ba hindi magaganda ang mga matataba? Huwag niyo naman sabihin na pangit kasi, ang dami kong kakilalang medyo healthy pero napakaganda naman ng ugali, napakaganda naman ng hitsura. Aminin naman natin, hindi naman tayong lahat kapayatan, di ba?" Angel said.
The multi-talented actress gave her message to fans who may not have been happy with her new figure.
"I apologize sa mga hindi ko na-fulfill ang expectations and all. Pero, ito naman, ginagawan ko naman po ng paraan. I feel naman na I'm very healthy. Wala naman akong sakit."
On Piolo's admission
Angel was not able to hide her happiness and admiration over Piolo's admission that he and KC Concepcion are indeed in a relationship. She and the Kapamilya heartthrob worked together in the ABS-CBN primetime series “Lobo.”
"I'm sorry, pero noong umamin si Piolo na 'she's taken,' 'yon ang pinakapoging nakita ko sa kanya. I mean, 'Ang pogi talaga ni Piolo Pascual!' Parang bumalik 'yong crush ko sa kanya. Pero taken na rin siya. Parang gano'n lang 'yong dating," Angel said cheerfully.
She added that she has no plans of rushing into a relationship this year and that she's still waiting for the right man to come.
"Well, hindi naman ako naka-taxi. Hindi naman ako naka-metro. Darating naman 'yon, e," said Angel. "Kagaya nga ng sinasabi ko, masarap 'yong feeling ng ma-in love. Pero masarap 'yon kapag sa tamang tao."
