#34 Play golf at St Andrews

Located in the town of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland, the Old Course is believed to be the oldest golf course in the world, as well as the birthplace of the sport itself.

Booking for the Old Course is open approximately a year in advance, with summer slots being snapped up quickly.

Apart from its rich heritage, the Old Course is possibly also one of the most televised courses in the world given that it hosts the Open Championship (one of four important golf tournaments) every five years.

Movie buffs will also recognise the beach adjacent to the first tee of the Old Course. It’s where the famous beach scene in Chariots of Fire was filmed!
