Earlier Tuesday morning, M1 said its mobile users may be experiencing difficulties using the network to send messages or make calls. The network seemed to have been down since 7:30am. Some M1 users that commented on the post reported widespread affected areas including Choa Chu Kang, Toa Payoh, Serangoon, Kent Ridge, Jurong, Clementi and Dover, Pasir Ris and Changi. It was only at about 1:30pm that M1 announced that mobile services have been fully restored.

Bitcoin Exchange, a prosaically-named Singapore-based currency exchange for Bitcoins, has just announced the acquisition of a Bitcoin ATM machine made by Lamassu. It promises to exchange currency notes from over 200 countries to Bitcoins in 15 seconds. The location of the ATM is yet to be confirmed. Bitcoin ATMs have been in operation since November 2013, with the first machine installed in Vancouver, Canada. The premise of Bitcoin ATMs is simple: to make the process of exchanging cash for Bitcoins quicker and with less hassle.

The Singapore dollar hit a near three-week high on Tuesday as the region is seen better positioned than other emerging markets. The Malaysian ringgit advanced on bids linked to daily fixing and with the central bank spotted intervening to support the currency, traders said. Indonesia's rupiah gained as foreign banks and state-run lenders bought it ahead of a bond auction on Wednesday. The Thai baht rose as investors continued to cover short positions.

Top South Korean brokerage KDB Daewoo Securities has detailed at least one of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S5 models in a recent note to clients. The firm has a history of revealing accurate details surrounding unannounced devices long before they debut. According to one of its predictions, Samsung might release its first “all-metal device”.
