Less than a month after Go-Jek Vice President of Product Alamanda Shantika left the company to join Kibar, today the Indonesian startup scene is rocked by another shocking news.

Michaelangelo Moran, Brand Director and one of the co-founders of the Indonesian ride-hailing app giant, announced via his Facebook account that he had left the company.

“Its been such an amazing six-year journey, but with a sad and heavy heart, my time in GO-JEK has come to an end. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way, inside and outside of the company,” he wrote.

As a Brand Director, Moran was known as the designer of the iconic Go-Jek logo, which is a motorbike taxi rider with Wi-Fi signal flying out of his head. Outside of the startup community, he is also known as a DJ.

No words yet on why Moran had decided to leave the company, although rumours on the ground hinted that he might be starting a property business in Bali.

There is also no information yet on who is going to replace his position. e27 has reached out to Go-Jek for comments.
