Barcelona return to LaLiga action with a trip to Celta Vigo tonight.

Following a turbulent summer at Camp Nou, Ronald Koeman's reign got off to a winning start on Saturday as Ansu Fati's early brace and a Lionel Messi penalty helped secure a thumping 4-0 home victory over Villarreal.

Messi has since spoken of the need for unity at Barca in the aftermath of his high-profile summer transfer saga and will look to let his performance do the talking again at Balaidos against a Celta Vigo side that are unbeaten in their opening three LaLiga matches, winning once against Valencia.

This match will be played behind closed doors at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

Team news

Barcelona remain without first-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, with Neto expected to deputise between the posts once more.

Defender Samuel Umtiti is still sidelined, while Junior Firpo is doubtful with a hamstring issue. Martin Braithwaite has been cleared to play following a thigh problem.

Ousmane Dembele, meanwhile, continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

Prediction: Celta Vigo 1-2 Barcelona

Saturday's demolition of Unai Emery's Villarreal was the perfect tonic for Koeman and Barcelona after an extremely difficult summer.

That impressive start should continue here against a Celta side that narrowly escaped relegation last term and have drawn two of their opening three contests in 2020-21.

However, this has hardly been a happy hunting ground for the Blaugrana over recent seasons. More on that in a moment.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Barcelona crushed Celta Vigo 4-1 at Camp Nou last season thanks to a Messi hat-trick, but they were later held 2-2 away from home after Iago Aspas' late equaliser dealt a massive blow to their LaLiga title hopes.

Barcelona lost 2-0 at Balaidos in 2018/19 and 4-3 in 2016/17, with another draw in between. They also lost 4-1 at the home of Celta in 2015.
