Cesar Montano doesn't mind being second choice

The actor says that in the end, what matters is that he is the one who is in the movie

16 Oct - Cesar Montano has no qualms being the second choice for the lead role in Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, "Nilalang", according to Philstar News.

The 53-year-old actor, who replaced first choice Robin Padilla when the actor pulled out to accompany wife Mariel Rodriguez after her miscarriage, said that he has received Padilla's blessings when he was announced to join the cast.

'I don't mind being the second choice," said Montano. "To me, it is really a great offer."

"No matter what you say, I am the one who is playing the role. I am the one who did the movie," he said.

Working with former Japanese adult video star Maria Ozawa in the movie for the first time, Montano was also full of praises for the 29-year-old, calling her a professional.

"I am so proud of her," said the actor.

Montano also revealed that it has been a while since he saw his three daughters, Angel, Samantha, and Angelina, after estranged wife SunShine Cruz filed an Anti Violence Against Women and their Children case against him.

"I miss them more than my life," said the actor.
