Charlene Choi: I would be lying if I say I don't want to win!

7 Mar – Although this would be her third time being nominated in the Best Actress category, Charlene Choi said that she would rather not think too much about her chances to win it.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who is nominated for her role in "The Lady Improper" at the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards, admitted that she would be lying if she said that she doesn't long for the award - as winning one would be an actor's ultimate achievement.

"But I am not making movies to win awards. The most important thing is to perform the role to my best ability," she said.

When asked if she has any confidence in winning, Charlene stated, "If I say none, that would sound fake. But if I say I am, then I don't sound humble enough. In conclusion, being nominated is already a great thing for me."

The actress will be competing alongside stars like Zhang Jingchu ("Project Gutenberg") and Crisel Consunji ("Still Human").

The upcoming award ceremony will be held on 14 April.
