Cockpit view of the Red Arrow flypast for D-Day 80

A flypast from the Red Arrows closed the UK's national commemorative event for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Members of the Royal Air Force's aerobatics display team filmed from inside the cockpit of their aircrafts as they flew over Portsmouth.

The pilots performed manoeuvres over the city and let out red, white and blue condensation trails from the back of the BAE Systems' Hawk T1 planes.

Veterans, members of the royal family and politicians were among the guests who watched the display from Southsea Common.

The Ministry of Defence hosted the D-Day 80 anniversary event in the port city, which played a crucial role in the Normandy landings in 1944.
