SINGAPORE — The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has recalled a US brand of flour due to possible bacteria contamination and urged those who have bought the affected product to not consume it.

The agency on Monday (7 October) noted that an alert on the recall of King Arthur Flour Unbleached All-Purpose Flour due to the potential presence of the E. coli O26 bacteria had been published by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The SFA has directed its sole importer, Cold Storage, to recall two batches of the product in Singapore: L18A13C (best used by: 12/13/19) and A19A02C (best used by: 01/02/2020).

The recall has been completed, said the SFA.

“Consumers who have purchased the affected product should not consume it. They may contact Cold Storage at 1800 8918 100 for enquiries or exchange of the product,” it added.
