Coronation Street has revealed Bobby Crawford's fate following his arrest.
Earlier this week, Bobby was taken into custody after DS Swain discovered he'd given a false police statement in hopes of exonerating Roy Cropper in Lauren Bolton's disappearance.
While Roy has since been released from prison following the arrest of Nathan Curtis as a possible suspect, Bobby still faced potential charges for his huge mistake.
Friday's (May 31) episode saw Carla finally patching things up with Roy, but she was still worried Bobby could go down for his own crime.

She visited DS Swain at the police station, where Carla was relieved that Swain would not proceed with criminal charges against her nephew.
"We don't see a need to take things any further," Swain told Carla.
Carla tried to make a peace offering by agreeing to give DS Swain's daughter some work experience at the factory, joking she could get the owner "on side".
As Carla walked away, both women were noticeably smiling — hinting at a friendship or maybe more in the future.
The soap has been teasing some kind of bond between Carla and DS Swain all week, after a heart-to-heart conversation in the detective's cop car.

DS Swain confided in Carla that she was having trouble with her daughter, after recently losing her partner. Carla shared her own experience losing Liam Connor years ago.
It was recently revealed that Swain's teenage daughter will be introduced on the soap, with cast member Vicky Myers describing the new character as "feisty, opinionated and educated".
Myers also said it was a "no-brainer" to take on a more permanent role in the soap after featuring heavily in last year's Stephen Reid serial killer storyline.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
