This is how Curtis reacted to an Amy Hart joke at the National Television Awards
If there's one thing I'm passionate about, it's awards show awkward moments. No matter how famous you are you could still trip over like Jennifer Lawrence or perform on national TV with spinach in your teeth like Nick Jonas, it's the glue that holds us all together.
So, imagine my delight then, when Love Island's Curtis Pritchard suffered an extremely uncomfortable moment at last night's National Television Awards, when a clip of his infamous 'coffee speech' was played to the entire audience, leaving Curtis red-faced and forcing a mortified smile, while girlfriend Maura Higgins cracked up.
The incident in question took place on last year's Love Island, when Curtis's then villa-girlfriend, Amy Hart, confronted him about wanting him to stay in bed and cuddle her in the mornings. His response, "I know but I need to make everyone coffee in the morning otherwise they won’t have energy for the day ahead."
The internet, of course, lost it and it's taken months for the chat surrounding coffee-gate to end. Which is probably why Curtis pulled this face when the clip was reintroduced to the world last night.
My favourite thing about this next one is the perfect mix of Maura absolutely creasing, and Curtis doing desperate 'make-it-stop' eyes.
