Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

The show is written by Martin and Ira Parker (House of the Dragon), who will exec produce alongside Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris, and Sarah Bradshaw. As previously announced, Harris will direct the other three episodes.

Most recently seen playing Officer Peter Prior in True Detective: Night Country, Bennett’s past credits include The Nevers, Domina, and the indie Hope Gap with Annette Bening and Bill Nighy, to name just a few.

Recently putting in a memorable turn as the villainous Ole Munch in the fifth season of Fargo, Spruell’s also been seen in series like Doctor Who, The Bastard Executioner, and The Last Ship, as well as films like Outlaw King and Legend.

The winner of a DGA Award for her work on Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry, which she also exec produced, Smith has also directed episodes of series like Looking for Alaska, Hanna, Legion, and Room 104. On the feature side, she’s known for titles like The Drop, Birds of Paradise, and Buster’s Mal Heart.
