Discover Haute Couture in Paris exhibition

While the French capital holds its ready-to-wear fashion week, the city also pays tribute to the luxurious tradition of couturiers and the 'petites mains' that assemble the extravagant creations through the free exhibition "Paris Haute Couture," running March 2-July 6.

The exhibition, organized in partnership with Paris's Galliera museum and with the support of Swarovski, will highlight exceptional designs created by the top designers and painstakingly put together by many agile hands.

Almost 100 designer haute couture dresses and outfits will be on show in the nave of the Saint-Jean hall at Paris's city hall. Visitors will be able to see creations by designers such as Chanel, Balenciaga, Courrèges, Lanvin, Rochas, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Jean Paul Gaultier.

The designs were selected from the luxury collections of the Galliera Museum.

Paris's ready to wear fashion week runs from February 26 to March 6, while the next haute couture season is scheduled for July 1-4.
