Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen confirm "Star Wars: Rogue One"
18 Aug - After much speculation, Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen have finally confirmed their participation in the upcoming "Star Wars" spin-off, "Star Wars: Rogue One".
As reported on Mingpao news, the announcement, which was made at Disney's D23 Expo last weekend, also revealed that the movie will co-star Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, and English actor Riz Ahmed.
The first poster introducing all the characters has also been released by the studio.
"Star Wars: Rogue One", the first film of the "Star Wars Anthology" created by Lucasfilm and Disney, reportedly will take place before the events of "Star Wars: A New Hope" (1977).
The story follows a rogue band of fighters who attempts to steal plans of the Death Stars. Filming has begun in the UK.
Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Donnie is the highest paid actor in the film, and will play the role of a blind warrior.
The movie is slated for a December 2016 release.
