Seven MRT stations along the North-South Line (NSL) and and five stations along the East-West Line (EWL) will close early from 30 November to 15 December on Fridays and Saturdays, SMRT said on Thursday (22 November).

The train operator said in a Facebook post that the NSL stations from Marsiling to Jurong East and the EWL stations from Dover to Lakeside will close earlier at around 11pm on those days.

The early closure is to facilitate the continuation of power supply system renewal as well as other maintenance and renewal works.

During the period, the following shuttle busses will be available at the affected stations:

Shuttle 2: Between Boon Lay and Buona Vista (Both directions) – http://bit.ly/2BqfwyZ
Shuttle 4: Between Jurong East and Woodlands (Both directions) – http://bit.ly/2BpvEB5
Express 17: Between Woodlands to Bukit Panjang (Both directions) – http://bit.ly/2FBcNak

Train services on the EWL between Queenstown and Buona Vista stations will operate as a bi-directional shuttle with longer intervals of up to 12 minutes. This would allow train services to continue between these stations using a single track and enable the turnaround of trains for the rest of the EWL.
