EastEnders shares first look at Levi's return for Yolande story

Yolande Trueman will receive some startling news from a returning character in EastEnders.

Last week, Yolande came face-to-face with her sexual abuser Pastor Clayton at Jordan Fox's baptism — which culminated in her walking out of the church when he tried to intimidate her.

Yolande decided that she would report the pastor to the police, having previously chosen to report him to church elder Levi instead.

In scenes airing on Wednesday on BBC Two and tomorrow on top streaming service the BBC iPlayer, Yolande will receive awful news from DS Page that her case against the pastor won't be strong enough for a criminal charge.

Just as Yolande as it at her lowest ebb, Levi returns to deliver some startling news that could change everything.

Yolande had previously been discouraged when she returned to Walford after her break with Patrick to find out that Levi had suddenly left in the middle of the church's investigation.

The soap has confirmed that Levi will reveal that he'd been doing his research into Pastor Clayton and found a woman called Delia who had accused him of sexual assault back in 2016.

Delia had faced a similar disappointment when the police decided not to pursue a criminal case against Pastor Clayton, citing insufficient evidence.

Viewers saw Delia briefly in a format-breaking episode in April where it was revealed that Pastor Clayton had abused multiple women throughout his career.

Will Delia agree to help Yolande bring down the pastor?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.

EastEnders has been working on Yolande's story with guidance from End Violence Against Women Coalition and Hourglass, which provides specialist services and resources for women of all ages and backgrounds, who have experienced any form of violence.
