EastEnders star teases potential Ravi and Priya reunion

EastEnders star Aaron Thiara has teased a potential reunion between his character Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart.
Ravi's ex-girlfriend unexpectedly showed up in Walford last year with their daughter Avani, who he had no idea existed. The pair also share son Nugget, who Ravi kept Priya away from following their bitter split years ago.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Thiara explained that the co-parents "could be a great team" if they were to rekindle their romance, adding: "What a power couple they could be!
"They know the streets a bit, how to play dirty and be manipulating, but they do it in different ways."

He continued: "It's that level of intrigue where you're rooting for these two characters to team up — but they can't seem to see it themselves! If they do come together, I think it would be very interesting to watch."
In scenes set to air next week, Ravi has a heart-to-heart with his son amid the show's ongoing steroids story.
Nugget's low mood recently prompted him to turn to friend Denzel for steroids, thinking they would solve his problems.

On Ravi's reaction to Nugget's use of steroids, Thiara said: "His first reaction is, 'My son wouldn't touch that!' But also he's dismissing it to save face.
"Prior to that, viewers will have seen Ravi picking up that something's not right with Nugget, and he tries to bring it up with him in an indirect way.
"Ravi thinks he's getting through to his son and making progress, but perhaps he's not picked up on things quickly enough."

The actor added that Ravi would likely "go berserk" once he learns the true nature of his son's struggles, before calmly sitting down to talk to him about it.
He added: "Ravi is ignorant to the fact that his baby boy would even consider taking those things, and he could think someone has forced him to do it — he might want to go and knock some heads together!
"But actually, Nugget is a bit more like Ravi than he thinks..."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
