Elderly woman dead being struck by vehicle in Outer Cove, say police

The RNC will expand its jurisdiction to serve over 33,000 additional residents of western Newfoundland beginning on Feb. 1.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says an elderly woman is dead after she was hit by a vehicle in Logy Bay-Middle-Cove-Outer Cove on Wednesday.

In a press release Thursday, the RNC said the woman, a pedestrian, was struck Wednesday around 7:45 p.m. in Outer Cove, on Lower Cove Road, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided, including the woman's age.

The RNC say officers are investigating.
