Emmerdale's Ruby Fox-Miligan makes a confession over Ethan's death

Ruby Fox-Miligan has confessed her part in Ethan Anderson's hit-and-run in Emmerdale.
Ethan died in a shocking cliffhanger earlier this week, as he seemingly succumbed to the injuries from a hit-and-run car accident that he never had properly treated in hospital.
Viewers know that Ruby was responsible for running down Ethan as revenge for his own car accident with her son Nicky a few weeks ago.

Wednesday's (May 29) episode opened with Caleb trying to talk his wife down from confessing, only for the pair to be interrupted by PC Swirling asking to speak with them.
The Miligans were next seen showing up at the pub that afternoon, where the locals were speculating that Ethan's death could be connected to the hit-and-run.
"I don't agree," Caleb dismissively told them while a sullen Ruby looked on.
The pub fell silent when Charles turned up for a pint, leading to a tense moment as he theorised that the Miligans or Dingles were likely responsible for Ethan's death.
Ruby tried to mediate, warning Charles that his quest for "justice" could "twist [him] up inside" and leave him questioning who he really is.

"I wanted Ethan to pay for what he did to Nicky. I'm not going to stand here and pretend otherwise," Ruby admitted to Charles. "But I would not wish this on my worst enemy."
Back at home, Caleb railed at Ruby for nearly telling Charles the truth, though she said she wasn't about to come clean.
"It turns out, I'm a coward as well as a murderer," she confessed.
When Nicky walked in on their conversation, Ruby finally decided to admit to her son that she'd run down Ethan.
Ethan was horrified to hear what his mother had done, though Caleb defended his wife by pointing out that Ruby thought she would lose Nicky because of Ethan's negligence.
"We need to keep this between ourselves," Caleb demanded.
Nicky turned to walk out, but Caleb held his son back and demanded he agree to keep Ruby's hit-and-run within the family. Nicky wouldn't respond so Ruby finally convinced Caleb to let him leave.
"He's not going to say anything," Ruby reasoned.
Caleb suggested "the only thing [they'd] ever got right" was raising Nicky to be "better" than they are — and that means Nicky could feel compelled to tell the truth.
In the final scene of the episode, a distraught Nicky was shown watching from a distance as Claudette comforted Charles outside the church.
