Fathom Is Adding Two More Cruises to Cuba This Fall
They replace previously planned trips to the Dominican Republican.
Fathom, the social impact cruise line owned by Carnival and the only U.S. cruise line with approval to sail to Cuba, just announced two new sailings for its only ship, the Adonia, to the newly popular Caribbean island.
The trips are scheduled for the weeks of October 9 and November 6.
To accommodate the change, Fathom is re-routing two previously announced trips to the Dominican Republic, reports Skift.
Royal Caribbean and Norwegian are still awaiting approval from the Cuban government to begin cruising there.
Since our inaugural voyage in early May, we have experienced strong, continued demand from travelers wanting to travel to Cuba, said Tara Russell, president of Fathom and global impact lead at Carnival Corp.
Travelers who had planned to travel to the Dominican Republic with Fathom can either reschedule their cruise for another date or go to Cuba for no additional cost. They can also ask for a full refund.
