‘FBI’ & ‘Chicago Med’ Set Mike Weiss & Allen MacDonald As New Showrunners

EXCLUSIVE: Death and Other Details co-creator/executive producer Mike Weiss has joined CBS’ drama series FBI as executive producer and showrunner. Meanwhile, Allen MacDonald has been tapped as executive producer and showrunner of NBC’s Chicago Med. Both Wolf Entertainment/Universal Television dramas are Top 10 broadcast series in Live+7 Nielsen viewership.

Weiss and MacDonald fill the showrunner vacancies left by the departures of veterans Rick Eid (FBI) and Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider (Chicago Med) who had been at the helm of the two series from the start. (Eid continues as showrunner of Wolf’s Law & Order.) The showrunners of the remaining FBI, Chicago and Law & Order series are staying put.
