'The Flash' finds action movie director

"The Flash" TV series has been running since 2014

Warner Bros is expected to select Seth Grahame-Smith, author of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" as its feature film debutant director for "The Flash."

The March 2018 film has already recruited Ezra Miller of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" in the main role as the fastest man alive, Barry Allen -- Miller also has a profile-raising part in November 2016 "Harry Potter" prequel "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Grahame-Smith is named as a hot prospect for the film's helming job by Deadline, which understands that "talks are very close to completion."

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller of "The Lego Movie" were thought to have been in the frame before signing on for a Han Solo "Star Wars" film, also due 2018.

Four other films in the DC Extended Universe are due before "The Flash": "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" on March 26, 2016; anti-hero ensemble "Suicide Squad" on August 5, 2016; "Wonder Woman" with Gal Gadot in the lead role on June 23, 2017; and "Justice League Part One" on November 17, 2017.
