Fox promotes Doocy, Heinrich to senior roles covering White House

Fox News has promoted Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich to senior White House correspondent, the network announced on Monday.

As part of their elevated roles, Doocy and Heinrich will “continue to provide coverage of the President of the United States’ domestic and international activities as well as the issues that affect the administration,” the network said in announcing the promotions.

Doocy, the son of Fox and Friends morning show host Steve Doocy, joined Fox in 2009 and has served in a variety of reporting roles since, including covering President Biden’s 2020 campaign.

He is known among the White House Press Corps for his often pointed back-and-forths with White House officials and President Biden, who was caught on hot microphone calling Doocy a “stupid son of a b—-” in 2022 after the reporter asked him a question about inflation.

Heinrich joined Fox as a general assignment reporter based in New York in 2018 and in 2022 was elected by the White House press corps to the White House Correspondents Association’s board for a three-year term.
