GEM Tang gets marriage proposal at concert
22 Sep - Hong Kong singer GEM Tang admitted that it was an awkward situation for her, after a fan decided to propose to her during her recent Hong Kong Coliseum show.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who held a concert at the said venue as part of her "Queen of Hearts" tour, was performing a ballad in a beautiful white gown when a male fan appeared with a bouquet of roses and a diamond ring to ask her to marry him.
GEM decided to only take the flowers, and kindly declined his proposal, saying, "I wish you will find the right woman to wear that ring."
Admitting that she didn't know who the man was, GEM said that she was stunned and that both she and the people around her didn't know what to do about it at first.
When asked how boyfriend Mark Ngai reacted, GEM laughed and said that the stylist made no response about the incident.
As to whether she will say yes if her boyfriend proposes, GEM said that she won't know the answer until it happens. However, the singer stressed that she is not saying no to settling down.
