Kirara, a cat girl from Inazuma, coming to Genshin Impact in version 3.7
Kirara will be the only new character coming in version 3.7, which is expected to be released in late May.
Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has revealed a new playable character coming to the game in version 3.7, Kirara, the Dendro cat girl from Inazuma!
Kirara is a 'nekomata', a type of cat youkai from Japanese folklore, who works as a courier for the Inazuman delivery company 'Komaniya Express'.

Kirara loves human society, often expressed by her restless twin tails that form a heart shape in her reveal art. In fact, she loves human society so much that she treats her job in the Komaniya Express like a precious treasure, always making her deliveries on time and getting designated as a gold-level courier.
On the gamplay side, Kirara will be the first character from Inazuma to wield a Dendro vision. With how Dendro and its myriad elemental reactions have dominated the metagame since the release of version 3.0, we won't be surprised if Kirara's kit is pretty strong.
With that said, HoYoverse has yet to reveal Kirara's weapon type and rarity.
Inazuma's nekomata is also the fourth Inazuman character based on youkai, joining Yae Miko (a kitsune), Kujou Sara (a tengu) and Arataki Itto (an oni). Gorou, while not confirmed to be based on youkai, does have dog-like features.
Kirara is also the second cat girl in Genshin Impact's roster of playable characters, joining Diona from Mondstadt.
Kirara is slated to be the only new character coming in version 3.7, a sign that the game is soon to wrap up version 3 and readying for the release of version 4.
Most versions feature two new characters, with the upcoming version 3.6 featuring the debuts of Baizhu and Kaveh.
Genshin Impact is currently in version 3.5, though version 3.6 is just around the corner and will be released on 12 April.
Assuming version 3.6 will have the typical 40-day duration, then Genshin Impact version 3.7, featuring the debut of Kirara, should be released around 21 May.
