What's coming in Genshin Impact version 3.6: Baizhu and Kaveh; new area, weekly boss
The Dendro Archon Nahida and Bloom queen Nilou are also getting their first reruns in the upcoming version!
Genshin Impact version 3.6 ‘Parade of Providence’ is coming out on 12 April, and there’s a ton of new content headed our way!
First off, we have two new characters joining the game’s roster in Dendro daddies Baizhu and Kaveh. Baizhu will be this version’s featured 5-star character while Kaveh will be a 4-star.
The Dendro Archon Lesser Lord Kusanali herself, better known as Nahida, will also be having her first rerun. Nilou will also make her first rerun appearance, while Ganyu returns alongside her.
There’s also a new expansion to the Sumeru map known as Apep’s Resort that will house an all-new weekly boss, among other new enemies.
But before we get into all the new content in version 3.6, here are the livestream codes; make sure to redeem them before they expire on April 1!
9ARE6VLJT34H - Primogems ×100 + Mystic Enhancement Ore ×10
KBRE7D4KA2MM - Primogems ×100 + Hero's Wit ×5

More Dendro
Baizhu
Baizhu is finally out of HoYoverse’s vault! The mysterious and kind doctor of Bubu Pharmacy and guardian to our favourite zombie Qiqi, has joined the list of playable characters as a 5-star Dendro Catalyst user, focusing on support through shielding and healing the party, as well as consistently applying Dendro to enemies.
Although he carries an air of gentleness, Baizhu hides a debilitating illness that affects his physical condition, forcing him to teeter on the edge between life and death. However, he steadfastly faces his cards, doing what he can to aid anyone in need.
His kit is definitely one of the unique ones HoYoverse has released so far, as he can heal your current active character simply by collecting herbs, fruits, and flowers. He can also heal your party through either controlling a wandering sprite that cruises through enemies through his skill, or creating a shield that periodically refreshes or when broken through his burst. The explosion of his shield also deals Dendro DMG to his enemies.
Considering the nature of his kit, he’ll prove to be a valuable support unit to Hyperbloom teams or Nilou’s Bountiful Blooms.
If you want to know more about Baizhu’s backstory, his story quest ‘Lagenaria Chapter: Act I’ will be made available on the release of version 3.6.
He will run alongside Ganyu during the second half of the version.
Kaveh
Kaveh is a celebrated architect with a keen eye for beauty, but behind his genius is a gullible and empathetic mind that refuses to back down when he thinks he can do something to help someone in need.
He’s also Alhaitham’s roommate, and it’s best to say that they often don’t see eye-to-eye.
Although Kaveh is one of the most talented architects to come out of the Akademiya, with the Palace of Alcazarzaray as his Magnum Opus, he’s actually totally dirt-poor.
Let’s just say he’s not talented on the business side of things… something that Lord Sangameh Bay took great advantage of.
Kaveh will be a 4-star Dendro Claymore user, with a kit focused on dealing damage, ideal as a sub/DPS in your team composition.
With the help of Mehrak, his toolbox and handy-dandy weapon-holder, he can map his surroundings and cause nearby Dendro Cores within its area-of-effect to burst immediately when using his skill.
Besides that, triggering his burst will allow Mehrak to infuse Kaveh’s attacks with Dendro, greatly increasing his damage capability. Kaveh will also be able to heal himself when Dendro Cores explode near his vicinity.
He will join Baizhu and Ganyu with a boosted drop-rate during the second half of version 3.6.
Nahida and Nilou get their first reruns, Ganyu returns
Nahida, or more known as Lesser Lord Kusanali, is the Archon of Sumeru. She will run on the first half of version 3.6 alongside the graceful dancer Nilou.
Nahida is a Dendro Catalyst support that greatly empowers any team that relies on Dendro elemental reactions to dish out damage. And although she’s the youngest (and smallest!) Archon of the bunch, she’s an essential element to any Dendro team composition.
Nilou, on the other hand, is a Hydro Sword user, devoted follower of Lesser Lord Kusanali, and is the star of Zubayr Theatre. She is a beautiful and graceful dancer, but like any eye-catching rose, she has thorns that are sharp and deadly! She has the most unique kit in-game, focusing on her production of Bountiful Blooms which explode instantly, dealing Dendro DMG based on her Max HP.
Meanwhile, Ganyu, who is running alongside Baizhu, is the secretary to the Liyue Qixing. A half-human, half Qilin, she has long been in service to the Lord of Geo, aiding him and the Adepti during Liyue’s tumultuous, bygone era of war and destruction. She now lives a life of peaceful overworking, but don’t you dare think that all that paperwork has dulled her gears.
Ganyu is a formidable Cryo Bow DPS, whose specialty is her devastating charged attacks. Before Dendro and Kamisato Ayaka overtook the metagame, Ganyu was (and still is) one of the premier options to decimate the Spiral Abyss.
New Story Quests and Hangouts
Version 3.6 will feature two new Story Quests for Baizhu and Nahida as well as a new Hangout event with Layla.
Baizhu Story Quest - Baizhu's Story Quest will explore his background as the resident doctor of the Bubu Pharmacy. Players can also expect guest appearances from the lovable Qiqi and the mischevious Hu Tao!
Nahida Story Quest part 2 - The second part of Nahida's Story Quest will take her and the Traveler to a new area in Sumeru's Great Red Sand, where the Dendro Dragon Apep and other mysteries await.
Layla Hangout - Sumeru's sleepwalking scholar, Layla, will be getting her own Hangout event! After her debut back in version 3.2, players will now get the chance to get closer to Layla as she navigates everyday life in the Akademiya while trying to stay awake.
New gear up for grabs
Along with new characters come new gear! Two new artifact sets will be made available to players on version 3.6.
Nymph’s Dream will focus on buffing Hydro DMG by 15%, as well as increasing ATK by up to 25% when the character equipping the full set will hit enemies with Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, as well as Elemental Skills and Burst. This set will be great for Hydro DPS characters like Tartaglia or Kamisato Ayato, and can even work well with Yelan.
Vourashka’s Glow will give your character a 20% HP increase, as well as increasing Elemental Skill and Burst DMG by 10% when equipping the full set. Getting damaged will increase the aforementioned Dmg increase with an additional 80% for 5s, and can stack up to 5 times, with each stack duration counted independently. The effects will trigger even when the equipping character is not on the field. Characters whose DMG relies on HP, like Dehya or Yelan, can do well with this set.
A new 5-star catalyst, Jadefall’s Splendor, will also be released. This catalyst will likely be Baizhu’s best-in-slot weapon.
New bosses and enemies
Travelers will need to hone their skills in preparation for version 3.6, as the upcoming update will bring many new enemies in the form of the Weekly Boss Apep, World Boss Iniquitous Baptist, and the Hilichurl Rogue mobs.
Apep (Weekly Boss)
The enigmatic Dendro Dragon Apep lies at the heart of the new area in Sumeru's Desert of Hadramaveth. Be prepared, not only does this powerful enemy hold mastery over Dendro, it will take multiple phases for it to be defeated.
Iniquitous Baptist (World Boss)
The Iniquitous Baptist is a mysterious monster hailing from the Abyss that can control three elements at the same time to both inflict pain on its enemies while protecting itself from retaliation. Travelers will need to pay attention to which elements it can control in order to best it in battle.
Hilichurl Rogues
While Hilichurl Rogues wander alone, their solitary lifestyle has made them formidable warriors that are more dangerous than regular Hilichurls. They come in Anemo and Hydro variants.
New area, new events
In the upcoming version, Travelers will unlock a mysterious new area in Sumeru's Desert of Hadramaveth that is home to the Dendro Dragon Apep and mysterious fairy-like creatures. While this new location will certainly be filled with both secrets and danger, rich rewards can also be found there for the taking!
Aside from the new area, another big highlight of version 3.6 will be the 'Parade of Providence' event, where Travelers will partake in the Akademiya Extravaganza alongside many of our favorite Sumeru characters.
The Wanderer is even slated to make an appearance and will have his first interactions with characters that aren't Nahida or the Traveler, though things might not go as well as hoped as he is shown battling with the General Mahamatra Cyno.
Participating in the Parade of Providence will let Travelers earn rewards such as Primogems, a Crown of Insight, ascenscion materials, and even a free invite for Faruzan to join their party!
Other events included in version 3.6 include 'Fulminating Sandstorm', 'Brewing Developments', 'Overflowing Mastery', and 'The Recollector's Path'.
