Genshin Impact version 4.5 will include new in-game guides to help players build up their characters based on player data
The new 'Training Guide' quality-of-life feature will help players build their characters and choose which weapons and artifacts to equip them with.
Genshin Impact will be introducing new quality-of-life changes focused on aiding travelers in building characters, both new and old, in the upcoming version 4.5 update in March.
In a Developer's Discussion blog post by Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse on Wednesday (28 February), the quality-of-life feature 'Training Guide' will provide players with character building suggestions based on data from recently active players.
The 'Training Guide' will consist of tabs focusing on character level, recommended weapons, recommended artifact sets, and recommended talent level ascension.
The 'Character Level' tab will show players whether a specific character is recommended to ascend or not as well as show the required ascension materials, where and from whom you can get them, and how many will be needed.
The 'Weapons' tab will showcase recommended weapons to equip with your character based on gathered data from recently active players. Each recommended weapon will be ranked depending on player usage rate, from high, to medium, to normal.
The 'Artifacts' tab will also recommend artifact sets based on recent player data and which domain you can farm them for, and for how much resin to use.
Meanwhile, the 'Character Talents' tab will recommend which talent to ascend by level of priority based on recent player data, as well as the materials needed to ascend said Talents.
This update seems to be more geared towards newbie travelers who may be overwhelmed with the number of characters now available in Genshin Impact. Nevertheless, veteran players can still make use of the Training Guide with upcoming characters like Chiori, the Inazuman seamstress in Fontaine who will become playable in version 4.5.
Of course, Chiori and the new Training Guide will not be the new content added to the game in version 4.5. HoYoverse is set to reveal more of what's to come in the next update in the version 4.5 preview livestream on Friday (1 March).
Genshin Impact is currently in the second half of version 4.4, which features the reruns of 5-star characters Yae Miko and Xiao as well as three new skins for Shenhe, Ganyu, and Xingqiu.
After version 4.4 comes version 4.5, which features the 5-star Geo character Chiori in March.
