Woo-ri Lee, the Korean voice actor for the Genshin Impact character Cyno, died on Thursday (14 March). He was 24-years old.

Korean cartoon and anime channel broadcast Tooniverse announced on Friday the voice actor's passing, though the cause of his death was not disclosed.

In a machine translation of their announcement, Tooniverse described the late Lee Woo-ri as their "precious youngest voice actor" and that his funeral will be held mainly for family and colleagues.

"It is difficult for fellow voice actors and staff to hide their sadness at the sudden and unfortunate news," said Tooniverse.

"To all the fans who love voice actor Woo-ri Lee and remember his acting, please join us in praying that our beloved classmate can rest in peace there."

The official Korean Genshin Impact X (formerly Twitter) account also posted a statement on Friday mourning Woo-ri Lee's passing.

"We would like to express our sincere gratitude to voice actor Woo-ri Lee for leaving us good memories with Genshin Impact. In memory of the voice actor Woo-ri Lee, we pray that he rest in peace," the statement read.

Members of the Genshin Impact community around the world also expressed their mourning over Woo-ri Lee's unexpected passing. Among them was Alejandro Saab, Cyno's voice actor for the game's English dub.

Aside from the Genshin Impact character Cyno, Woo-ri Lee also provided the Korean voice for the character Lord Oyster from the game Cookie Run and James from Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go cartoon.
