Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and his partner Shakira have been relishing their new roles as parents to their 2-month old son, Milan Pique Mebarak.

Shortly after Barcelona's 4-0 victory over AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday, Pique posted up a photo of the family at the Nou Camp with the caption: "Enjoying (Barca's) achievements with my family."

This is not the first time Milan and his famous mother - Colombian singer Shakira - have attended matches at the Nou Camp together.

Last month, Shakira took her son to his first football match and baby Milan proved to be the lucky star for his father as Pique scored in Barcelona's 6-0 thrashing of Getafe.

Interestingly, Milan was registered as a FC Barcelona 'socio' (fanclub membership) literally minutes after his birth on January 22.

However, this is a relatively normal phenomenon in a country with a strong sports culture such as Spain, where football teams are seen as a way of fostering a sense of personal connection.

Highly-rated Brazilian striker Neymar may have been linked to a bevy of beauties in the past, including models, reality TV stars, actresses, samba dancers and "Maria-chuteiras", a Portuguese term used to describe wannabe "WAGs".

However, in recent months, the 21-year-old has toned down his 'Playboy' image by getting serious with a 17-year-old Brazilian actress named Bruna Marquezine.

The couple, who have been dating for three months, arrived at a fancy costume party on Tuesday, with the striker dressed up as the quirky character Quico from the popular Latin American comedy "Chaves". Bruna, who stars in soap operas on Brazilian TV, arrived in a sassy peasant get-up complete with earrings and socks. The party was held to celebrate Brazilian singer Thiaguinho's 30th birthday and all guests were required to come in fancy dress.

When asked recently how she and Neymar were handling a long distance relationship (she works in Rio and he is based in Santos with the club), Bruna answered: "When two people are in love, they will make it work."

In addition, the merciless Brazilian paparazzi have been particularly intrusive and prying into the actress' private life, with one outlet crudely asking if she was still a virgin at a recent event.

"I would like to keep a few aspects of my life private," Bruna replied, according to statements on Brazilian gossip portal, 'Ego'.

Neymar, who currently plays for Brasileirao side Santos, is believed to have negotiated personal terms with Barcelona that will see him join the club next summer after the World Cup in Brazil.

David Beckham may be well beyond his prime playing days now, but he is certainly playing his part as a doting father.

Paris-Saint Germain's latest star import has been spending the bulk of his time in London, where his family currently resides, instead of the French capital.

Earlier this week, David was seen shuttling about town with his daughter, Harper Seven, and her mother, the fashion-forward Victoria.

The couple share school runs between each other - dropping their sons off to various schools each morning before heading to work. Over the weekend, Posh and Becks also celebrated Britain's Mother’s Day with Victoria’s family.

However, Beckham - and his supportive family (pictured celebrating his goal at a Ligue 1 match recently) - will certainly need to keep his eye on the football following PSG's historic progression to the Champions League quarter-final last week.

The French outfit, which are currently backed by wealthy Qatari owners, may face the mighty Barcelona in the next stage of the tournament.
