'Glam-ma': Fashion grannies return to Beijing streets

Introducing: Beijing's glamorous grandmas

Four amateur models took off their masks

and sauntered down the streets

in their traditional qipao dresses

The group, "Glamma Beijing", all aged over 60

became a sensation in China last year

when a video of them walking

through the city's shopping district went viral

Since then, they have been dressing up

and posting videos online

(SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) LIN WEI, 64-YEAR-OLD RETIREE AND MEMBER OF "GLAMMA BEIJING", SAYING:

"If you are always afraid of death and ageing, your life is grey. You need to face ageing because you cannot go against natural law. You are in fact older, with wrinkles, you don't have too much energy, or you get out of shape. But this is something you can't go against. So you need to face it with positivity."
