All the Gogglebox babies as star Georgia Bell announces pregnancy
In more than 10 years of the Channel 4 TV show, its stars have been busy making babies.
Gogglebox star Georgia Bell has confirmed she is pregnant with her second child.
The Channel 4 TV commentary series has been running for over 20 years and has seen reality stars come and go, as well as the sad deaths of many much loved characters. But there has joyful news as well, as many of the Gogglebox families have welcomed new babies to their sofas.
There have been at least seven Gogglebox babies born since the start of the show. Here is a list of the stars of the show who have become parents in recent years.
Scarlett Moffatt
TV presenter Scarlett Moffatt found fame with her parents and sister on Gogglebox, first appearing in series three in 2014. The 33-year-old child ballroom dancing champion has gone on to win I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! and host her own shows.
And in June 2023 she became a parent when she welcomed her first child, son Jude, who was born five weeks early. His father is Moffatt's boyfriend Scott Dobinson.
Moffatt has said she is loving parenthood, and knows herself better since becoming a mum.
Pete Sandiford
Brother and sister from Blackpool Pete and Sophie Sandiford joined the show in 2017. Pete became a dad in 2021, welcoming son Jimmy with his wife Paige Yeomans. He revealed at the National Television Awards that year: "It's a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment. He's cool little lad, takes after his mum not me."
And in December 2022 Pete was joined by his son on the show for the Christmas special - where he revealed to viewers he and his wife were expecting a second child. As Sophie cuddle nephew Jimmy, Pete said: "You're going to have to make the most of the attention Jimbers, now you're going to have a little brother or sister coming. You're going to have to milk it! ".
He announced the birth of his daughter in June 2023, posting: "Myself and @paigesandiford_ would like to welcome the newest addition to our family, Eva Sylvie Sandiford."
Izzi Warner
Izzi and Ellie Warner have been Gogglebox regulars since 2015. Izzi already had son Bobby, born in 2014. But in 2019 viewers saw her appear pregnant on the sofa, before welcoming daughter Bessie Rose in February 2020.
Izzi has gone on to inspire fans with her weight-loss journey since having Bessie.
Bobby and Bessie made a surprise appearance on Gogglebox in 2022, joining Izzi and Ellie on the sofa for a special episode of the reality show.
Ellie Warner
Izzi's elder sister Ellie welcomed her first child in May 2023. Her son Ezra recently celebrated his first birthday. The announcement of her pregnancy on the show was a huge surprise for viewers.
In March 2022 Ellie's boyfriend Nat Eddlestone was hit by a car as he walked home from a night out in Leeds. He suffered serious injuries in the crash, including a broken neck, back and two collapsed lungs. He was in intensive care fighting for his life, and Ellie took a break from the show to be by his side.
But the difficult year ended with happy news, as Ellie appeared on the show with sister Izzi in December and showed her a picture of an ultrasound scan, revealing to viewers she was having a baby.
Ellie recently shared pictures from her baby shower - over a year since it took place, confessing she had not felt confident enough to share pictures of herself pregnant at the time.
Georgia Bell
Georgia joined Gogglebox in 2018, with her friend Abbie Lynn. Bell welcomed her first Gogglebox baby in July 2022 . She and Josh Newby became parents to baby boy Hugh James Newby.
And she has just announced she is pregnant with her second child, due in November 2024.
Here co-stars have been delighted by the news. Lynn commented: "Adorable!!! Over the moon! so much love for you all xxxx". Sophie Sandiford wrote: "Aw congratulations", while Ellie Warner posted: "Wonderful news! Congratulations". And Izzi Warner reponded: "Aww such a cute announcement! Congratulations"
George Gilbey
George Gilbey sadly died at the aged of 40 in a workplace accident in March 2024. The reality TV star rose to fame alongside his mother Linda McGarry and stepfather Pete McGarry on the Channel 4 TV commentary series and also took part in Celebrity Big Brother in 2014.
He became father to daughter Amelie in June 2016. And in October that year he brought joy to Gogglebox viewers when he brought his baby daughter onto the show when he joined Linda and Pete in an episode.
