Greyloft, a Singapore-based full-service technology-enabled property agency, has officially launched with a seed funding of S$1.5 million (US$1.1 million) from DSG Consumer Partners, Wavemaker Partners, Cub Capital, Tigris Capital and JFDI.

Greyloft integrates a suite of online tools and offline services to deliver a holistic customer centric solution. Online tools are designed to assist customers through the course of the rental process starting from online research to paperwork and post move-in support. Offline services include a dedicated team of licensed in-house property agents who assist customers in shortlisting properties, coordinating viewings, negotiating terms and moving in.

“There are a lot of players in the market addressing property listings. Once renters or buyers see the listing online, they have to rely on multiple agents for the rest of the process. Moreover, property portals have no control over these agents. As a result, they often go-through a disjointed end-to-end experience which Greyloft aims to address,” Siddhesh Narayanan, Co-founder and CEO of Greyloft, said.

“From property discovery to house selection and paperwork, we want to ensure that our customers sail through the entire house-hunting process seamlessly,” he added.

Greyloft offers a series of tools including neighbourhood guides, a property discovery platform and price trends comparison data that help customers make informed real-estate decisions.

“A lot of the data that our customers need is already out there. However, it’s hard to make sense of it all and they tend to refer to unreliable sources for information. We are building a team of data scientists and researchers to develop technology that will help cut through this clutter and present them with relevant information and data,” said Archit Agarwal, Co-founder and CTO of Greyloft.

Greyloft builds and trains its own team of in-house agents to ensure customers receive high quality advice and a consistent experience. These agents are equipped with customised Greyloft tools that simplify their work and help them manage their deals efficiently. The service currently covers rentals in the private residential market but will soon expand to include sales as well.

Deepak Shahdadpuri, MD of DSG Consumer Partners, said: “They build the next generation digital platform to manage the cumbersome real estate transaction process. Greyloft has developed a set of tools that automate much of this process and bring a level of transparency that is absent today. Greyloft’s mission is to make the end-to-end process simpler through more sophisticated data and analytics. We are using Singapore as a test bed for the new product before looking at other markets in Southeast Asia.”
