Heat-free curling is made possible by Dyson

Vacuum brand Dyson is back on the beauty scene with another superstar hair styling tool. The home tech company, which is famous for its sleek, innovative vacuum cleaners, fans and hair dryers, unveiled the ‘Airwrap' Tuesday night in New York.

A curling tong and styling tool that avoids the use of extreme heat that can damage the hair, the Airwrap instead uses high-pressure, high-velocity air to create soft spirals, powered by a digital motor that spins at up to 110,000 rpm.

The Airwrap comes with six different styling heads for a range of different looks, including curling barrels of different widths, two smoothing brushes, a volumizing brush and a pre-styling dryer. It can be used on wet or dry hair.

The tool comes in three different variations designed for different hair textures, including fine hair and frizz-prone hair. However, it doesn't come cheap -- the product retails at between $499.99 and $549.99.

Dyson first broke into the beauty sector back in 2016 with its ‘Supersonic' hairdryer -- a model that went on to become a worldwide hit.
