Should the game get 5 million registrations, HoYoverse will give players 20 free pulls, similar to Wishes from Genshin Impact

HoYoverse, the developer behind smash-hit games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd, has opened pre-registration for its brand-new space fantasy RPG Honkai: Star Rail.

The developer added that they are set to announce the official release date for the game very soon. Honkai: Star Rail will be available on PC and mobile, with mobile registrations available on the App Store and Google Play Store.

You can pre-register for Honkai: Star Rail here.

HoYoverse will be handing out rewards once certain milestones are reached.

These include a free 4-star character, Serval, and 15 Star Rail Passes, or 'pulls', once the 3.5 million and 5 million registrant milestones, respectively, have been reached.

Players can use those pulls to get new characters and equipment through Honkai: Star Rail's gacha system, similar to the 'Wish' system used in Genshin Impact.

Honkai: Star Rail is the next installment in HoYoverse's Honkai series after Honkai Impact 3rd, though the game follows its own narrative, driven by the desire to explore the universe.

We had the privilege to take part in Honkai: Star Rail’s Closed Beta 2 for three weeks last year, and there is much to be excited about whether you're a Honkai veteran or a newcomer to the series.

Honkai: Star Rail will put players in the shoes of an amnesiac implanted with the “Stellaron” — the Cancer of All Worlds, which gives us unbridled power.

Along with the passengers of the Astral Express, aptly called Trailblazers, we will travel throughout the universe to dispel the threat of mass destruction by The Aeons as well as unearth the secrets behind their legends.

As players journey through the universe of Honkai: Star Rail, they will encounter a colorful cast of characters and explore vast worlds. HoYoverse has been rolling out previews for the characters players will get to see once the game is released, most recently releasing a trailer for Bailu, who will be voiced by Malaysian voice actress Su Ling Chan.

The universe is a dangerous place, of course, and players will have to fight their way across the stars with a Turn-Based RPG combat system.

Characters that we knew from Honkai Impact the 3rd are also available in Honkai: Star Rail, like the beloved Himeko, who takes on a second lease in life in Star Rail’s Universe.

Seele Vollerei, Bronya, and Li Sushang will also be encountered, but with different abilities and characterisations.

Meanwhile, Welt Yang, who was previously a non-playable character, will showcase his fighting prowess in Honkai: Star Rail.

The game is also in its final closed beta phase, so keep an eye out for our preview of the game ahead of its official release.
