Horror Pics ‘Brute 1976’ & ‘Garden Of Eden’ Descend On Cannes Market; Raven Banner To Shop

EXCLUSIVE: Toronto-based genre sales specialist Raven Banner has added Neon Noir horror pics Brute 1976 and Garden of Eden to its Cannes Film Market slate.

Brute 1976 from director Marcel Walz (That’s a Wrap, Pretty Boy) is marketed as a throwback to horror classics such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and follows a group of friends who stumble upon the desert town Savage while looking for a spot to set their latest photo shoot, only to meet the depraved, mask-wearing Birdy family, who begin hunting them down one by one.

Garden of Eden follows the wealthy and devout Eden family, who choose one lucky guest from each of their parties and give them the opportunity to fulfil their greatest desires. However, a life-changing dream for some may become a nightmare for others.

Walz is the director, and like Brute 1976, was written by Joe Knetter. The film stars French, Robert Rusler, Monique Parent and Sarah Polednak.

Walz, Knetter and French, who lead Neon Noir, produced both films, following on from their 2023 horror That’s a Wrap.
