‘Hunger Games’ Star Tom Blyth Joins Sophie Wilde In New Regency’s ‘Watch Dogs’ Adaptation

EXCLUSIVE: Following his breakout role in Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds And Snakes, Tom Blyth is now ready for his next big potential franchise as he is set to co-star opposite Sophie Wilde in New Regency’s Watch Dogs, an adaptation of the popular UbiSoft hit video game. Deadline first reported earlier this year that Wilde was in talks and now both are confirmed to star in the pic that will be directed by French genre director Mathieu Turi.

Christie LeBlanc penned the original draft with new revisions by Victoria Bata. Yariv Milchan, Chairman and CEO of New Regency, and Natalie Lehmann, President of Motion Pictures and Television at New Regency, will produce with Margaret Boykin, Head of Content at Ubisoft Film & Television.

The Watch Dogs series video game series from Ubisoft, immerses players in the world of skilled hackers who use technology to combat oppressive forces controlling major cities across the world. With over 50 million players worldwide, the franchise has captivated audiences with its exploration of hacking culture and underground networks, offering a thrilling and suspenseful experience. The series extends to other entertainment media, including books and comics and the latest entry in the franchise, Watch Dogs: Legion, released in late 2020.

Blyth, known most recently for his portrayal of Coriolanus Snow in the box office hit The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which helped relaunch the franchise after bringing in $337 million at the worldwide box-office. He also plays the titular role in the second season of MGM+’s Billy the Kid.

His upcoming projects include the independent feature Plainclothes and a starring role in director Michael Winterbottom’s adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s timeless war novel, A Farewell to Arms. Blyth’s past credits include roles in HBO’s acclaimed series The Gilded Age and in Terence Davies’s film Benediction for BBC Films.
