‘Inside Out 2’ Stays Atop U.K., Ireland Box Office as ‘The Bikeriders’ Makes Strong Debut
Disney’s “Inside Out 2” added a further £7.7 million ($9.8 million) in its second weekend at the U.K. and Ireland box office, remaining in pole position, according to numbers from Comscore. The smash hit sequel now has a running tally of £23.2 million.
Universal’s “The Bikeriders” debuted in second place with £1.08 million. In third position, in its third weekend, Sony’s “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die” added another £1 million to take its total to £9.06 million.

In fourth place, CinemaLive’s theatrical release of the “Doctor Who” two episode finale (“The Legend Of Ruby Sunday” and “Empire Of Death”) earned £364,353. Trafalgar Releasing’s “Ghost: Rite Here Rite Now” collected £282,961 in its second weekend in fifth position and now has a total of £477,557.
The other debut in the Top 10 was Studiocanal’s “Something in the Water,” which collected £120,341 in 10th place.
Coming up this weekend, the wide release is Warner Bros.’ anticipated “Horizon: An American Saga Chapter One” from Kevin Costner. Paramount is opening “A Quiet Place: Day One,” starring Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou.
Disney is bowing Oscar winner Yorgos Lanthimos’ surrealistic triptych “Kinds of Kindness,” starring Jesse Plemons, Emma Stone and Willem Dafoe.
The big Indian release is sci-fi epic “Kalki 2898 AD” from DreamZ Entertainment, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. Yash Raj Films is releasing Malayalam-language drama “Nadanna Sambhavam. “
Bulldog Film Distribution is opening “Rose,” that follows two sisters whose relationship is challenged on a coach trip to Paris.
The TAPE Collective is debuting Marrakech and London winning biographical documentary “Bye Bye Tiberias, where years after leaving her Palestinian village to pursue an acting career in France, Hiam Abbass returns home with her daughter. Dogwoof is opening Sundance-playing documentary “Eternal You,” where startups use AI to create avatars that allows to talk with their loved ones after death.
Miracle/Dazzler are opening animation “A Greyhound of a Girl” that follows four generations of women travelling on a midnight car journey.
And on the occasion of Sidney Lumet’s centenary, which falls on June 25, Park Circus is re-releasing one of his many masterpieces, “Network” (1976).
