Jack Neo to welcome first grandchild in November

Singaporean film-maker Jack Neo is set to become a grandfather as he will be welcoming his first grandchild into the family in November this year.

The Ah Boys to Men director revealed that he discovered the news of his daughter’s pregnancy from his wife while filming his upcoming film Killer Not Stupid.

“Some 20 years ago, my daughter had just arrived into this world. And now in a blink of an eye, she has gotten married and will soon be ‘promoted’ to a mother,” he said to Chinese-language newspaper Lianhe Wanbao, adding that he is hoping for a granddaughter.

His only daughter Ethel married Peter Lau in September 2016 in a ceremony at Bedok Methodist Church. Neo has three other children.
