Jake Ejercito wants Andi Eigenmann to stop playing victim

7 Apr - Jake Ejercito's legal representative, Attorney Ferdinand Topacio recently issued another statement appealing for Andi Eigenmann to stop making more statements regarding the petition by the actor for a joint custody of their daughter, Ellie Belle.

As reported on Inquirer, the statement, which was released on 4 April, read, "On behalf of the Ejercito family, we [...] appeal to Ms Eigenmann to [...] refrain from making further pronouncements on the case."

Topacio also pleaded for Eigenmann to stop "playing the victim card", and to "cease from imputing ill motives on the part of our client in filing the case against her."

He added that Ejercito's only intention for the joint custody was due to his sincere concern for Ellie's welfare.

The statement came after Eigenmann recently made another clarification regarding Topacio's earlier allegations that Ejercito wanted the joint custody for proper visitations instead of by "Andi's mood".

He gave an example where Eigenmann falsely gave them the wrong date of Ellie's preschool graduation day so that Ejercito's family couldn't be there.

The actress recently clarified that the incident was nothing malicious, and that she just confused the date due to her busy schedule.

"I invited him by informing his sister. He asked if he could bring other members of his family, but I said we only have a limited number of tickets per student. I said it would be better if it would just be him and me. I chose to invite him over my mom [actress Jaclyn Jose]," she said.

However, when the day came, Eigenmann said she decided to give Ejercito's ticket to Jose when the actor didn't follow up.

She also added that Ejercito hasn't given Ellie any financial support, and has yet to acknowledge her as his daughter in her birth certificate.

"I am just waiting for him. That's why I was shocked when I was told that I am going to have to hire a lawyer for this case," she pointed out.
