Jessica Alba's New Thriller Is The Top Movie On Netflix Right Now

“Trigger Warning” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

Directed by Indonesian filmmaker Mouly Surya, the action thriller debuted on the streaming service on June 21. Jessica Alba stars as skilled but traumatized Special Forces officer who returns home from overseas after her father’s mysterious death.

“Trigger Warning” also features Anthony Michael Hall as a powerful senator involved in illegal arms dealing. The movie has received mostly negative reviews so far.

“Prey”

“Prey” is the top movie on Hulu at the moment. Released at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, this sci-fi horror film is the seventh installment in the “Predator” franchise and a prequel to the other films.

Set in 1719 in the Great Plains, “Prey” follows a young Comanche woman who must protect her people from an extraterrestrial monster who hunts human beings for sport.

“Ride Along 2”

The third most popular movie on Max right now is “Ride Along 2” ― the 2016 sequel to the 2014 buddy cop movie “Ride Along.”

Ice Cube and Kevin Hart reprise their roles as a police officer and his future brother-in-law, who aspires to be a detective. “Ride Along 2” also features Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn, Glenn Powell and Tika Sumpter.

“Kung Fu Panda 4”

“Kung Fu Panda 4” became available for streaming on Peacock on June 21.

The animated martial arts comedy was released in theaters in March to positive reviews from critics and high earnings at the box office. A sequel to 2016′s “Kung Fu Panda 3,” the fourth film in the franchise features the voices of Jack Black, Ian McShane, Dustin Hoffman, James Hong, Bryan Cranston, Awkwafina, Ke Huy Quan and Viola Davis.

“The Town”

The 2010 crime thriller “The Town” is currently trending on Apple TV+. Directed and co-written by Ben Affleck, the movie is an adaptation of Chuck Hogan’s 2004 novel “Prince of Thieves.”

“The Town” stars Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Blake Lively and Jeremy Renner (who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance). The plot centers around a Boston bank robber who falls in love with a bank manager taken hostage in one of his robberies.
