Jing Tian admits pressure working on "The Great Wall"

7 Jul - Chinese actress Jing Tian may have worked with various top stars, from Sun Honglei to Donnie Yen, but she admitted that working together with Hollywood actor Matt Damon in a production as grand as "The Great Wall" poses its own challenge.

As reported by CRI News, Jing Tian, who was the sole actress who attended the Beijing press conference announcing the new Sino-Hollywood movie, admitted that it was a pleasure to be able to work with a number of great actors in the film, including Damon.

"In the last three months, I have learned so much working with him side by side. He's a true professional actor who is dedicated to his art," said Jing.

The actress also admitted that like any other mainland actresses working in a western production, she was also hindered by the language barrier and was nervous about performing her very best.

But Jing stated that luckily, the production has sent her to Los Angeles for a special training programme for six months.

"There were physical training, dialogue class, and acting class. They've been very supportive from the start."

Directed by Zhang Yimou and starring Andy Lau, Matt Damon, and Jing Tian, "The Great Wall" is set to be released in November 2016.
