John Lennon’s letters being made into an app

Serious fans of the legendary musician John Lennon will now be able to browse over 70 of his private letters thanks to a forthcoming iOS app, according to a report by Digital Music News.

The November 8 report from Digital Music News claims that the app will feature 78 letters from Hunter Davies' book The John Lennon Letters plus a further ten pieces of correspondence which are exclusive to the app.

In addition to this material, which the report claims users will be able to "cut, paste, email, comment, and tweet," the app also features a selection of audio readings from actor Christopher Eccleston and a selection of Beatles music.

This application, obviously aimed at more-than-casual Lennon fans, is one of several to be dedicated to the singer, with others including John Lennon QuickQuotes ($0.99), John Lennon Educational Tour Bus (free) and simply John Lennon ($0.99), which features some of the musician's musings.
