Singapore national swimmer and Olympic champion Joseph Schooling has been made the star of an SMRT Circle Line Train.

Launched on Friday (11 November), the concept train – named after his book “Hello, My Name is Joseph Schooling” – features three cabins showcasing Schooling’s journey and is meant to inspire Singaporeans. It will run until 8 December.

The displays include pledges made by Singaporeans as part of an initiative by The Schooling Effect (TSE) – a movement out to inspire and provide opportunities for people to dream – and photographs from Schooling’s life as captured by veteran photographer Alvin Toh.

Limited autographed prints of the images on display and numbered recto by Toh are available for sale online. Proceeds from the sale of every first print of each image will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation (MAW) Singapore. This comes as part of a charity deal between TSE and MAW Singapore.
