Kaley Cuoco just received a heartwarming surprise from her husband ahead of the Golden Globes tonight (February 28).

The Big Theory star's new show The Flight Attendant has been nominated for two awards at the ceremony – Best Television Actress and Best Musical/Comedy Series – which will be taking place virtually.

With her husband Karl away for work in Florida, Kaley thought she would be attending tonight's long-distance awards show on her own – but she was wrong.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the actress revealed that Karl managed to surprise her by returning home in time for the ceremony.

Sharing her delight with her fans, she wrote: "Most of you know [Karl] has been away [at the Winter Equestrian Festival] for many weeks and has many more weeks of travel so I knew he wouldn't be back to celebrate the Globes with me.

"The event is virtual so I wasn't gonna force him to fly home for it, I knew he had a crazy schedule. Well I just answered the door and he came back!"

Karl was then seen waving as he stood in their living room and joked: "I showed up! I was in the area."

Hugging her husband, a teary Kaley said: "I can't believe you got me so good. I can't believe you did that! I’m so glad you're here."

Having picked up her first-ever personal nomination at the Golden Globes, Kaley will be up against Elle Fanning for The Great, Lily Collins for Emily in Paris, Schitt’s Creek’s Catherine O’Hara, and Jane Levy for Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.
